I discovered this fun and useful site today while I was browsing the internet. It’s called Roma Viva. The site is in English, Italian, French and German and is well organized. Search for your next lodgings in Rome, but before you book, read excellent descriptions about the lodgings as well as user comments from people who have previously stayed there.
When you’re choosing a place to stay, the most frustrating thing is the fear — not the kind of fear that you’re being chased by axe murders, but the fear of uncertainty. Am I spending too much? Is this worth what I’m paying? Is this place in a good location? Is it a safe location….the questions are endless, but I think that this site takes some of the uncertainty out of the equation. So if you’re planning a trip to Rome and have your lodgings, jump on Roma Viva and see if there are any reviews for your hotel, bed and breakfast or apartment. It will give you a good idea of what to expect when you arrive!
Another great thing about this site is that each location is marked clearly on a small map that is easily accessible from the lodging’s profile. Never again do you have take the word of a hotel that they are in a certain location – you can quickly confirm the details yourself on the map. Making sure your hotel is in a location that is suitable for you is important
Also, Roma Viva is full of tourism information, maps and travel itineraries – a great resource for your next trip to Rome.
