Want to win a free Italian lesson (or other language lesson of your choice)? I’ll draw ten email addresses, and 10 lucky winners will receive a free one hour lesson, courtesy of Edufire.
One of the newest and most innovative ways of learning Italian is to use telephony programs – such as Skype, Yahoo Messenger, MSN among others. These programs allow you to chat — either by typing or using your PC’s microphone — with Italian teachers all over the world. No longer are you restricted geographically — perhaps there is no Italian teacher in your area? Or you don’t have the time to attend a regular class outside the home? You can enhance the learning experience by using your web cam and headset so that you can see your teacher face to face, which helps to promote learning and create a better rapport between student and teacher.
Save time and gas (or petrol) by doing your learning online. Edufire is a one of those sites that is taking advantage of the internet telephony is to bring students interested in learning languages with teachers who teach online. Edufire is offering visitors to my sites and blogs a chance to win a free Italian lesson (or any other language of your choice and that Edufire offers, if you prefer).
What is Edufire? Edufire is an online portal for teachers of various languages to come together to teach students who are willing to learn a language in this new and innovative internet environment. The great thing about Edufire is that you don’t need Skype or MSN — they have their own technology platform that doesn’t require any downloads. All you need to do is have Adobe Flash Player installed (which is offered free by Adobe). I’m truly impressed with their setup, and I think that you will be equally impressed.
This is really a great way for students to practice their speaking and listening skills as well as the opportunity to ask questions about the language and get an immediate response. The possibilities of learning in this way are truly endless, and I would encourage anyone learning Italian to enter the drawing and visit Edufire and check out what they are all about.
